Personalized Email Campaigns

AEP use-case for identifying user in a journey, stiching the data with backend attributes, and activating the email campaign for customer specific targeting.

This login page simulates a creation and storage of an identity map for this logged in user.
In order to further stitch a user´s activities with data from other backend sources and then creating a segment for users with unique traits to be contacted via Adobe Campaign Classic (ACC).
Use Case

As a digital marketer, I want to create segments using AZ back-end data, eventually enrich them with behavioral data from my OE´s website, so that I can send personalized email campaigns to existing customers.

Benefits obtained by the implementation of this use case:

  • Automated upload of customer segments to Adobe Campaign Classic for personalized 1:1 communication
  • Ability to stitch data coming from Adobe Analytics and other offline sources to create customer segments based on online and offline data
  • Increased response rate
  • Reduced cost per acquisition
  • Increased conversion rates
  • Increased retention rate through using up to date 360 customer profile information for onsite personalization

AEP Use Case 3
How It Works
For this use case demo, we developed a sample login form, which accepts user ID and password. Once, a user visits our website, he/she is anonymized but we track the behavior against an ECID (Adobe Anonymous ID) and when this user interacts with the login functionality shown below, we identify this user and stitch all his previous actions to this user ID.

Now, assume this customer had web behaviour similar to someone who interacted with an insurance product calculator at a later point.

The other data source for this use case is the Adobe Campaign database, which is ingested via the data landing zone as shown in the 'Architecture' tab. This data is used to enrich the user profile with his calculator abandonment journey details or for similar events. And, when this user ID qualifies for a segment which contains similar users who abandoned a journey, they can all be contacted via an email marketing campaign using tools like Adobe Campaign Classic.

This user ID is also shared via the 'Identity-map' feature of AEP Web SDK. And, can be seen in the developer-console -> Network Tab when you filter the results with 'interact' keyword, as shown in the screenshot below.
