Marketing Channel-Based Content

Create customized landing pages depending on the marketing channel of a website visitor.
Use Case

The following use case illustrates that you cannot only customize landing pages based on a visitor´s location or device, but also based on the marketing channel the visitor comes from, such as google campaign, linkedIn campaign, referral link, email campaign or display campaign.

Use the links below to simulate visits from external sources. For example, the "linkedIn" click simulates a click on an advertisement banner in linkedIn (check the utm parameters of the URLs to get more information on the simulated external sources).

By clicking on one of the links, you are redirected to the landing page, where you see a different welcome message depending on the marketing channels you come from.
  • If the use case is not working, delete all cookies and try again. The use case only works if you have accepted marketing cookies.

  • We can help you setting up similar use cases using the "Experience Targeting" activity in Adobe Target, such as customized text or images. Our contact details can be found below on this page.
  • The marketing channel setup is described in the "Services - Adobe Analytics Insights Generation Service" section.

Reports
In the following diagram you can see the distribution of unique visitors by the marketing channels defined in the use case. In the defined timeframe there were no unique visitors coming through the "referral link" to the website.

In further use cases, you can have a more detailed analysis of KPIs by marketing channel or by marketing channels in comparison, e.g. conversion rate, return rate, bounce rate, download activity, form completion rate, etc.
