Basic Core Form tracking analytics help you to understand the overall interaction, success, and error of the user journey. Once the setup is completed, the basic form tracking events are reported automatically which means no additional action is necessary.
This event is captured when the form is loaded and when the user views the forms
When the user interacts with the first field in the form
When the user clicks on submit button and the form submission is successful
When the user clicks on the submit button and form submission results in the error
When the captcha is not readable and the user clicks on the refresh button
When the user clicks on the browser close button or refresh button
When the user clicks on submit button
How It Works
Core Form tracking is not built in activated for the OEs and therefore it is necessary to contact the Experience Cloud Solution team to enable it for you. Even better, we would love to do it for you without any cost. Once the tracking is enabled, basic events will be reported automatically and you will see the insights in the dashboard. If you also want to track the filed components, you will need to check the Enable Tracking feature. Feeling lost? No worry! Let us show you. 
For tracking the form data, the form field components have now a checkbox called "Enable Form Tracking" which can be checked to track the form data. The following components are updated to have the checkbox to enable tracking:
  • Circle Toggle
  • Checkbox
  • Text Field
  • Dropdown
  • Date
  • Hidden Field
  • Name (to be removed)
  • Stepper
  • Text Area
In order to enable the tracking for any field, follow the steps below:
 
  1. Select the form field component where tracking is to be enabled.
  2. Open the component settings.
  3. Select "Enable tracking".                   
Please do not enable tracking for any PII data field. There is a risk involved while enabling the fields for tracking. It is the responsibility for the OE to ensure that no PII data is being tracked.
